Guest: Pastor Elmer Murdoch
Originally from Vermont, Pastor Elmer Murdoch served in pastoral ministry for 42 years before stepping down from the pulpit and starting Step Up To Life International.
Concluding 20 years of ministry with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, he was the founding pastor of Trinity Church Interdenominational in Omaha, NE. Under Pastor Murdoch’s guidance, the church congregation grew from 40 to 3,000.
Originating from a sermon given in 1954 titled, “Steps Leading To Salvation”, the evangelistic booklet, “Step Up To Life”, has been printed in over 50 languages, including several children’s editions. Currently it is used by many different denominations and Christian organizations. Step Up To Life may well be the only piece of gospel literature that teaches the evangelistic use of the Ten Commandments, an explanation and application of repentance, and a saving faith that is based on the Lordship of Christ.
Pastor Murdoch is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theologic Seminary in Boston, Massachusetts.
Guest: Lincoln Murdoch
A fifth generation pastor, Lincoln Murdoch graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1982. He served on the pastoral staff of Trinity Interdenominational Church in Omaha, Nebraska from 1982 – 2000, eight years as Trinity’s youth pastor and 10 years leading Trinity’s global outreach as Missions Pastor.
From 2000 – 2007, he served as President of Antioch Network in Phoenix, AZ, eventually planting a church through this network in 2004 named All Nations Church Phoenix. He helped plant a second church, All Nations Church Omaha, in 20
08 where he served as the Lead Pastor until 2014 when he stepped down to become the Executive Director of Step Up To Life International.
Lincoln is an accomplished endurance athlete, completing three 140 mile Ironman triathlons, including the World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. In 2013 he finished 6th in the world in his age group at the Triathlon Championships in London, racing for Team USA. He won the US National Championship/Gold Medal in his age group in 2012 and is an eight-time USA Triathlon All American.
He is the author of two books, Launching the Great Go-Mission and See You At The Finish.
